Will my dog be comfortable with the noise?

Take the first session slowly. On its lowest setting iWhisper™ runs at 59 dB, about the volume of a normal conversation. Let your dog sniff the head first, switch it on low and only turn the dial up once they’re relaxed. If your dog never warms to it, you’ve got 30 days to send it back for a full refund.

Can I use it if I’ve never groomed my dog before?

Yes. Every kit comes with The Calm Groom, our free step-by-step guide to your dog’s first groom in 3 days. The brushes need no skill: you brush like you normally would and the loose hair goes into the tank instead of onto your floor. For trimming, clip on a guard and the clipper cuts to that length. Start with the longest guard, work with the direction of the coat and take small passes.

Will brushing and trimming at home mean fewer trips to the groomer?

Usually, yes. Brushing, de-shedding and tidying the face, paws and back end are the jobs most people book a groomer for, and at home they take about 15 minutes. Plenty of owners still book the odd full breed cut and handle everything in between themselves.

Will it work on my dog’s coat, or just the fluffy dogs in the videos?

It works on short, medium and long coats, double coats included. The slicker brush pulls out loose undercoat and tangles, the bristle brush suits short coats, and the six guards cover everything from a short summer trim to a light tidy.
